South Padre Island (Isla Blanca Park)
The most popular public viewing area, about 5–6 miles across the water from the pad, with a clear line of sight to the launch tower.
Port Isabel waterfront
Slightly farther than South Padre but easier parking and the same across-the-bay view.
Boca Chica Beach / Highway 4
Closed on launch days — the road and beach are evacuated. Great for seeing the rocket up close on non-launch days.
Good to know
Starship test flights shift constantly and windows open early in the morning. Confirm the road closure notices (Cameron County posts them) — no closure usually means no launch.
The sound at South Padre Island is a full-body experience; for kids and pets bring hearing protection.
